Dr. Hana Stastny
MD (The Czech Republic), HD, MT
Hana graduated as a medical doctor and dentist in 1991 in The Czech Republic. Shortly after the graduation, she moved to Canada where she redirected her education to holistic medicine — nutrition, massage therapy, yoga therapy, reflexology and homeopathy. Hana’s main passion is her work as a medical educator. She has been teaching medical sciences (anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, psychology, public health and nutrition) at various colleges in Calgary. She also offers courses in homeopathy. As a medical doctor and holistic health practitioner, Hana firmly believes that if the contemporary medical system is to be successful, it has to integrate all the world’s proven healing systems, past and present: traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, energy healing systems, spiritual healing, massage and western medicine. She is proud to promote this integration by teaching in schools that offer training in a variety of holistic disciplines. Hana currently divides her time between teaching at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture and Mount Royal University.
