Dr. Charlie Changli Xue

Professor, TCMD PhD
RMIT University, Australia

Associate Professor Charlie Changli Xue is the Head of The Chinese Medicine Unit and Director of the RMIT Chinese Medicine Research Group (RCMRG) at RMIT University, Australia. He is pivotal in the overall development of a series of educational degree programs and the establishment of the RCMRG. The educational programs are currently offered in Melbourne and Hong Kong. His research interests includes socio-economic research such as workforce analysis of the Chinese medicine profession in Victoria, Australia and public usage and attitudes towards Chinese medicine, and clinical trials on Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for seasonal allergic rhinitis (with recent interest in the pharmacological actions of Chinese herbal medicine for seasonal allergic rhinitis).

Associate Professor Xue is a member of the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria, Australia (CMRB Vic) and serves as Short Term Consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Dr. Huiying Wang

Dr. Wang is the Depute President of Hu Guo Si Hospital of TCM-The Affiliated Teaching Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in China. She is responsible for the clinical education of students, focusing on program and curriculum development, and clinical supervision of students locally and internationally. She is also the Executive Member of The Clinical Education Committee of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Her main research interests include diseases of liver and gallbladder systems and spleen and stomach systems. She has many academic publications in China.

Dr. Wang gradated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1988. She became a TCM and Medical Doctor at The Affiliated Teaching Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine since then. She has been the Depute President of Hu Guo Si Hospital of TCM-The Affiliated Teaching Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine since 1995. She was promoted as Associated Professor at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2001. From 1997 to 2001, she followed Dr. Guang Youpuo who is the famous senior TCM doctor recognised by State Administration of TCM, Ministry of Public Health and State Bureau of Human Resource. She passed the exam and got the certificate in 2001. The certificate is equal to the Master Degree in China.

We appreciate that she shares her knowledge and experience of TCM education at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in China with us. As an advisor of CCTCMA, her knowledge and experience will facilitate the development of CCTCMA, and make CCTCMA the best TCM college in Canada.

Clifford L. Spyker

Cliff Spyker is the director of MKS Learning Centre. Cliff facilitates many of the structural aspects of starting a business including business plan development, niche marketing, pricing and business assessment. Cliff also coaches clients in the area of finances, planning and selecting market niches.

Cliff's principle area of focus is providing coaching and advisory services for new start-up ventures. He works primarily with owner operated independent businesses. In the past sixteen years, Cliff and his colleagues have provided over 8,000 individuals with entrepreneurship and management training in Calgary and southern Alberta. During this time they have helped over 1,620 men and women start their own new business ventures. The focus of the start up process is making the mental shift from employer directed work positions to self directed personal business plans. To date they have achieved a 75% success rate in new venture growth and start-up.

Cliff's knowledge in terms of business will definitely be a huge input to our programs and future business practice of our students.
