  • Subject 205. Internal Medicine (2)

    A continuation of Subject 204 Internal Medicine (1). This course provides students with detailed discussion of syndromes of the liver and gallbladder systems, syndromes of the kidney and urinary bladder systems, syndromes related to qi, blood and body fluids, and syndromes related to the meridians, collaterals and extremities.

  • Subject 207. Tuina Massage (2)

    A continuation of Subject 206.Tuina Massage (1). This course provides students with knowledge of Tuina massage in various clinical situations. The diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the neck, back, upper and lower extremities will be discussed with the focus on Tuina massage. This course also introduces students Tuina massage techniques used for common internal disorders.

  • Subject 209. Chinese Patent Medicine

    Chinese patent medicine, a very important component in Chinese herbology has its unique characteristics. This course introduces students the commonly used Chinese patent medicine with a focus on actions, indications, contraindications and differentiation.

  • Subject 210. Dietary Therapy in TCM

    Dietary therapy is one of the five components of TCM. This course introduces students to food and nutrition with TCM perspectives. This course also provides students with a detailed discussion on the role of diet and nutrition to maintain a healthy condition of and the prevention of diseases.
     

  • Subject 222. Pathology and Microbiology (2)

    A continuation of Subject 221 Pathology and microbiology (1). This course provides students with the pathology of the different systems, common infectious diseases and relevant microbiology information.

  • Subject 223. Western Medical Diagnosis

    This course introduces students to the diagnostic methods of western medicine. It includes how to write the case record, conduct physical examination and analyse lab tests.

  • Subject 242. Clinical Practicum (2)

    This course provides students with an opportunity to practice acupuncture, moxibustion and herbology under supervision. This course will continuously help students build up their clinical skills.
