    • Dr. Frank Du
    • President. TCMD. MD(China), Master Degree(Australia). R.Ac. RMT


      Dr. Du has 24 years of teaching and clinical experience in TCM and acupuncture in Canada, Australia, and China. He is a Registered Acupuncturist and TCM doctor in Alberta.

      Dr.Du earned his Bachelor of Medicine specializing in TCM from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1988, and obtained his Master Science from RMIT University in Australia in 1999.

      As the founder and president of CCTCMA, he is responsible for the program design, curriculum development, and all academic activities. He is also a professor at CCTCMA and teaches various subjects in TCM and acupuncture.
       

    • Dr. Marc Raedschelders
    •  DTCM, R. Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), ADS (NADA)

       

      Marc Raedschelders graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1978. In 1983 he started his training in TCM at the European University for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Belgium from which he received his diploma in 1986. He continued with advanced TCM education in Europe, China, and Canada. He studied in Beijing (1986, 1991) and Nanjing (1998) and continued upgrading in China on a regular basis (2004-2011). In 1999, he started coordinating the Acupuncture Program at Grant MacEwan University where he chaired this program until 2011.

       

      Marc is a Registered Acupuncturist and member of several national and international professional acupuncture /TCM associations. He is past president of the Acupuncture - TCM Society of Alberta (President from 1997 to 2000). He was also member of the Board of Examiners in Acupuncture (1995 to 1999) and member of the Acupuncture Committee for many years, both ministerial appointments from the province of Alberta. Until 2011, he served as Vice-President of the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA). He is a diplomat of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) (U.S.) and also completed his NADA requirements for Acupuncture Detox Specialist (ADS). Marc has extensive TCM experience as practitioner, educator, and administrator.

    • Dr. Woosen Ur
    • TCMD,  BSc (Korea),  BMed (Beijing, China)  

      Dr. Ur graduated from Seoul National University and received a bachelor degree in natural science. After graduation, he studied Chinese cosmology with Sr. Danwon (Specialist of Chinese cosmology, already passed away). In 2006, he graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in China majoring in TCM. 
       
      He worked as a regular TCM professor at IBRATE (Instituto Brasileiro de Therapias e Ensino, Curitiba, Brasil), as a visiting TCM professor at EBRAMEC (Escola Brasileira de Medicina Chinesa, Sao Paulo, Brasil) and Ajnah instituto de saude integral (Curitiba, Brazil). He also led several seminars about Chinese cosmology and TCM in Beijing and Fukuoka of Japan. He is also an editorial adviser of Chinese Medicine journal, `Medicina Chinesa Brasil`.
       
      He published many articles on TCM journals such as `Treatment of Cancer by herbal medicine` (Vol I. 4th Edition, `Medicina Chinesa Brasil`), `Application of herbal medicine by calculation of Yun Qi theory for the year 2012` (Vol II. 6th Edition, `Medicina Chinesa Brasil`).
       
      He did several research presentations at TCM congress and symposium in Brazil, and those are about `Abdominal Acupuncture as a micro cosmos`, `Chinese facial diagnosis and constitution` `Human constitutional evolution and its mechanism from Five Yun & six Qi theory `, `How to prevent the side effects of Qi Gong`. 
       
      Now he is working at CCTCMA as a full time TCM instructor. His main interest is about human evolution of mind & body and its mechanism from the point of view of TCM, and how to promote it by TCM. And also about Energetic impact of Tibetan tummo yoga on human physiology, Astrological impact on human physiology and Magnetic therapy etc.
       
    • Dr. Hana Stastny
    • MD (The Czech Republic), HD, MT

      Hana graduated as a medical doctor and dentist in 1991 in The Czech Republic. Shortly after the graduation, she moved to Canada where she redirected her education to holistic medicine -- nutrition, massage therapy, yoga therapy, reflexology and homeopathy. Hana's main passion is her work as a medical educator. She has been teaching medical sciences (anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, psychology, public health and nutrition) at various colleges in Calgary. She also offers courses in homeopathy. As a medical doctor and holistic health practitioner, Hana firmly believes that if the contemporary medical system is to be successful, it has to integrate all the world's proven healing systems, past and present: traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, energy healing systems, spiritual healing, massage and western medicine. She is proud to promote this integration by teaching in schools that offer training in a variety of holistic disciplines.  Hana currently divides her time between teaching at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture and Mount Royal University.

    • Dr. Wenjun Dai
    • Ph.D., R.Ac, TCMD

      Dr. Dai graduated from a prestigious Chinese Medicine university in China and received his Bachelor, Master and Ph.D degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for 20 years. Dr. Dai was a university professor and MD in China before he came to Canada. He has also been invited to teach and conduct research projects in acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the United States, Argentina, Chile, and Hong Kong since 2000. He is a member of the China Acupuncture Association. He is the chief editor and coauthor of 12 books in Chinese medicine and has many articles published in professional Chinese medical journals.

    • Dr. Zhao Cheng Han
    • DTCM (China), R.Ac, Master in Acupuncture  

       

      Dr. Han graduated from Shandong University of TCM in China with a Master's degree of acupuncture. He was a professor and head doctor in the hospital affiliated to the Shandong University, and represented the university by attending several international conferences. He has instructed hundreds of local and overseas students in a clinic setting, and had been an examiner of the National Medical Examination in China.
       
      His 15 years of clinical and instructional experience can bring specific and tailored education to the students and patients of the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture by helping them to understand this classic way of maintaining health and treating disease.

       

       



    • Dr. Atonin Kodet
    • ND, MD

      Dr. Kodet holds two doctoral degrees: N.D,  (Naturopathic Doctor,) from the National College of Natural Medicine, USA and Paed.Dr from Charles University in Prague, (graduated with honors). In Prague he completed the kinesiology, sport coaching and rehabilitation program. In addition he studied at leading European Universities and medical centers in Asian countries. Dr.Kodet taught at various universities and colleges, (medical sciences, botanical medicine, homeopathy, kinesiology-rehabilitation…) and played a key role in establishing the diploma program for Herbal Therapists at Mount Royal University.  Dr.Kodet was the first Naturopathic Doctor and kinesiologist qualified as an expert witness by the courts of law in Alberta and British Columbia.  He has written a book titled “Cook for Health, Healing and Vitality."  In his practice Dr. Kodet uses natural medicine to treat adult and childhood illnesses that do not adequately respond to conventional treatments. He has been able to help many patients who were considered incurable.

    • Dr. Andrea Hejtmanek
    •  TCMD, R.Ac., RMT, B.A.

       
      Andrea Hejtmanek graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies in 2003, thereafter she enrolled in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, where she completed the Doctor of TCM program in 2009.
       
      Andrea is involved with TCM and Acupuncture regulation in Alberta; she is the Vice President of the Alberta Association of Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors and is Co-Chair of Membership Services for the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta.  Andrea also volunteers at the Drop In Centre supervising interns for community acupuncture.  In addition to her extra-curricular activities Dr. Hejtmanek is the owner of Nourishing Life Health Care where she specializes in anti-aging medicine, facial rejuvenation, digestive disorder and stress relief.  Her practice emphasis applying principles as taught in Classical Chinese medical literature with an integrated eastern/whole foods approach to dietary therapy.
       
    • Dr. Raafat Gabriel
    •  MD, MS General Surgery

      Dr. Raafat  Gabriel graduated as a medical doctor from Assiut University of Egypt, received one year internship in the University Hospitals. He practiced in different general and central government hospitals as general medical practitioner as well as a general surgery resident. He was also the postgraduate general surgery specialist from AlMenia University in Assiut of Egypt. He also worked as a general surgery specialist in Assiut General Hospital and then in Saudi Arabia in Almana General Hospital. 

      Dr. Gabriel  has been  Involved in teaching medical sciences such as anatomy & physiology, pathology and neuro-anatomy courses to the nursing and paramedical staff in the hospitals where he worked. Currently, Dr. Gabriel is a medical educator in CCTCMA to deliver his  knowledge and experience to all the students.
       
    • Sarah Shen
    • Sarah Shen graduated with diploma of massage therapy at the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 2009. She got her certificate for Traditional Chinese Massage also known as Tuina in 2005 in China, and is an RMT with the National Health Practitioner of Canada.

      She received her Bachelor's degree of Western Medicine in Taishan Medical University in 1987 in China. She worked as a Radiation Oncologist in Qingdao People’s hospital for many years. and got rich experience in clinical medicine. She has been practicing as a massage therapist for four years since she moved to Canada. She can perform many different specialized types of massage therapy, including trigger point release, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, acupressure, sports massage, hotstone massage and reflexology.
