Subject CM - 01. Anatomy and Physiology
The course provides students with gross anatomy through discussing each individual system and the basic functions of the important organs. The course also introduces students the physiology of cell, blood, circulatory systems, respiratory system, digestive system and other systems.

Subject CM - 02. Communication Skills, Ethics and Regulation Related to Massage
The course provides students with regulations of massage practitioners in Alberta and British Columbia. The course also introduces students the ethics in practicing Chinese massage, as well as the communication skills among Chinese massage practitioners, patients and other health care professionals.

Subject CM - 03. Introduction to Meridians, Collaterals, Acupoints, and other TCM Theories
The course introduces students the fundamental theory of acupuncture, including the theory of meridians and collaterals, and the theory of acupoints. The information related to meridians and collaterals and acupoint location of 14 meridians will be covered in this course, with a focus on acupoints commonly used in Chinese massage.

Subject CM - 04. Chinese Massage (1)
The course introduces students the principle of Chinese massage, as well as indications and contraindications of Chinese massage. The course also introduces students Chinese massage relaxation and treatment techniques on the head, neck, upper back, shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers. The orthopedic exam on the above regions will be discussed as well.

Subject CM - 05. Chinese Massage (2)
The course provides students with knowledge of Chinese massage techniques on the lower back, knees, ankles and foot. The orthopedic exam on the above regions will be covered as well. The course also introduces students the knowledge of Chinese massage treatment on patients with some internal disorders, such as insomnia, stomach pain and constipation, etc.

Subject CM - 06. Chinese Massage Practicum
The course provides students with an opportunity to practice Chinese massage at The College Clinic of CCTCMA under supervision.
